Dear Families,
The first grade teachers at Margaret Ross Elementary want to welcome your child to a new school year. Listed below are the supplies that your child will need to bring on the first day of school:
- 4 dozen Ticonderoga pencils
- 4 boxes Crayola crayons
- 1 pair of children's scissors (Fiskars brand are ideal)
- 10 large Elmer's glue sticks
- 12 fine tip dry erase markers (blue or black)
- 1 dry erase marker eraser
- 4 highlighters
- 1 package of pencil top erasers
- 2 plastic pocket folders
- Headphones - one pair that go over the ears. NO EARBUDS, please!
- 1 box of Kleenex - Last names beginning with A-M
- 1 container of Clorox Wipes - Last names beginning with N-Z
- A backpack labeled with your child's first and last name. One that can be hung from a hook
- A plastic pencil box approx. 8.5 x 5.5 x 2 in size ( anything larger will not fit into the desk)
Add the following items from the above supplies to your child’s pencil box:
4 Ticonderoga pencils - sharpened
1 box 24 Crayola crayons
1 pair of scissors; labeled with your child’s name
1 large Elmer’s glue stick
1 fine tip dry erase marker
1 dry erase marker eraser
1 highlighter
Place remaining items in a large, plastic storage bag (or bags)- labeled with your child’s name. These will be used to replenish supplies for your child throughout the school year:
9 large Elmer’s glue sticks
3 boxes of 24 Crayola crayons
4 dozen Ticonderoga pencils
1 package of pencil top erasers
11 Fine tip dry erase markers
1 box of Kleenex ~ Last Names Beginning With A – M
1 container of Clorox Wipes ~ Last Names Beginning With N – Z
3 Highlighters
2 plastic pocket folders (labeled with your child’s name)
Headphones (labeled with your child’s name)
*Any unused materials will be sent home with your child at the end of the school year.
