In Language Arts the topic will be "Sounds Around Us." Our new letter of the week is "Nn" the sound and letter identification both upper and lowercase. Continue practicing the "Mm," "Ss," "Pp," "Tt," and short "Aa" and "Ii" sounds. Our new high frequency word of the week is "and." Continue practicing "I," "can," "the," "we," "see," "a,""like," "to." Category words are sound words. We continue to explore nouns (words that are names of persons, places and things) and verbs (action words).
In Math we will represent quantities with numbers, compare numbers as written numerals, practice writing numbers and classify, count and order categories by count. Friday in Math is game day and we will repeat a game that we have learned throughout the year or play a game on our iPads.
This week in Science we will discuss the habitat of the owl. We will discuss the various jobs that the Wampanoag kids did to help around their homesites by completing our "Let's Find Out- What Did Wampanoag Kids Do? "
We have many exciting events occurring in kindergarten! Thursday, November 16th we will observe Children's Grief Awareness Day by wearing blue and Friday, November 17th we will travel to the high school to watch the Junior High Musical.
