Learning in Kindergarten

This week we will continue to explore the letters in the alphabet,  identifying the letters and talking about their sounds. Our new letter of the week in "Nn" both the sound and identification.  Continue practicing the "Ii,"  "Tt,"  "Mm," "Aa," "Pp," and "Ss" sounds. Our weekly theme is "Sounds Around Us." We will discuss different sounds. Our new high frequency word is "and."  Continue to practice like,  a, I,  can,  the, am, we, see.  We will begin to discuss sentence structure. Our category words are: Sound Words.
      
In Math we will represent qualities with numerals,  compare numbers as written numerals,  practice writing numbers and counting,  classifying and ordering categories by count.   Friday in Math is game day and we will repeat a game that we have learned throughout the year.  
 
 This week in Science we will learn how to write "C-Starts" Letters "Q,"  "G,"  and "S" and we will review the letters "D,"  "P,"  "K,"  and "R."
   
  We have many exciting events occurring in kindergarten!  Monday,  November 12th-  No School Due to Veteran's Day,  Thursday,  November  15th-  Picture Retake and  Friday,  November 16th-  All school fieldtrip to the Junior High Musical "Elf, Jr."
