Meet the Teacher

I grew up in the Stowe Township area of McKees Rocks where I lived with my mother, father, sister, and brother.

After graduating from Saint Mary’s Help of Christians High School, I attended the University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education K-8 with a concentration in English and continued on to earn my Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education. Several years ago, I became a Fellow with the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project at the University of Pittsburgh.

My teaching career began on Pittsburgh’s North Side. After teaching for four years, I chose to stay home to raise my three children.

When my son was in preschool, I was hired by Hopewell Area District where I have taught Remedial Math, Kindergarten, Second, Third, Fourth, and Sixth grades.  Currently, I teach 6thgrade Language Arts and Science – Human Body and Ecology.

Read About My Passion
Now that my children are grown and independent, I am able to pursue my
passion for animal rescue. I am proud to be an active member of a marvelous organization called Distinguished Dobermans Rescue.
Distinguished Dobermans Rescue, Inc. (D.D.R.) is a non-profit, charitable organization whose primary
mission is to give abandoned Dobermans a second chance at finding loving,
safe, and suitable forever homes.
D.D.R. also networks with several other
rescues and shelters.
To visit our website and find out more about D.D.R., or to see our available Dobermans click on the paw.
