I grew up in the Stowe Township area of McKees Rocks where I lived with my mother, father, sister, and brother.
After graduating from Saint Mary’s Help of Christians High School, I attended the University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education K-8 with a concentration in English and continued on to earn my Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education. Several years ago, I became a Fellow with the Western Pennsylvania Writing Project at the University of Pittsburgh.
My teaching career began on Pittsburgh’s North Side. After teaching for four years, I chose to stay home to raise my three children.
When my son was in preschool, I was hired by Hopewell Area District where I have taught Remedial Math, Kindergarten, Second, Third, Fourth, and Sixth grades. Currently, I teach 6thgrade Language Arts and Science – Human Body and Ecology.
