We are pleased to announce that our March students of the month are Senior Chad Kypta and freshman Lexi Mixter.

In addition to being the 7th ranked student in the class of 2018, Chad  plays baseball.  Well respected by his teammates and coaching staff, he is a hard worker that puts the team’s needs before his own.  He and his partner David Mortimer won the Hopewell Sea Perch competition and competed at Cal University in the regional competition where they were awarded best ROV design and best engineering notebook. Chad was recently recommended for the Shell 2018 Innovative and Inspiring and student of the Year. He is a member of NHS and the French club.

Lexi has one of the highest grades in Algebra I and has made the most progress on the Cognitive Tutor.  She works very hard in class and often turns in homework early.  When working in groups, Lexi is a leader that graciously helps other students.  She  is very conscientious, never misses an assignment and puts maximum effort into everything she does from tests to participating in class discussions.  In addition to being a good student, Lexi is a cheerleader.
