ATTENTION PARENTS: COMMUNITY DRUG FORUM: Progress Through Education

With the opioid epidemic reaching unprecedented numbers in the state of Pennsylvania and close to home, Beaver County Behavioral Health Drug and Alcohol Program and Keystone Wellness Programs are organizing a Community Drug Forum: Progress Through Education to address this crisis. The forum will take place at CCBC Monaca Campus on April 6th, 2017 from 6-9 PM in the Learning Resource Center, lower level.

Please join our panel of experts District Attorney, David Lozier; Deputy Coroner and Medic Rescue Director of Operations, William Pasquale; Beaver County Beahvioral Health SCA Administrator, Kate Lowery; and BCBH Case Management Supervisor, Tracy Irwin as they guide attendees through:

· identifying drug paraphernalia

· recognizing the signs of an overdose

· demonstrating the proper use of Naloxone

· connecting to community drug and alcohol resources

This is a free program, open to all residents of Beaver County, however, space is limited.

If you would like to attend, please register online here!

Beaver County lost nearly 100 residents last year to drug overdose deaths. Our goal with the Community Drug Forum: Progress Through Education is to empower the community to combat this crisis and reduce the number of young lives lost to drugs.
