This year, Hopewell’s Hometown High Q Team, which consisted of Laura Butts, Aaron Pfeifer, Chris Satterfield and Madeline Davidson, defeated Norwin and Basir high schools in the first round of KDKA’s Hometown High Q competiton. The first round of the competition will air on March 22nd and 11:00 am and again on March 29th at 11:30 am.  Mr. Smith, the sponsor of Hopewell’s chapter of the National Honor Society, was their coach and helped them prepare for the event.

Hopewell’s team competed against Franklin Regional and North Hills high schools on February 22nd and came in third. The second round of the competition will air on April 5th. Hopewell is very proud of these students for the being the first team to continue on to round two. Congratulations Laura, Aaron, Christopher, and Madeline on a great job!
