Two teams of four art students each competed on Saturday, April 16 in the 12th annual Pat Catan’s “Iron Crafter”. Team #1 members were Hannah Barkman, Amber Matthews, Aubrey Newhouse, and Isabella Zuccaro. Team #2 won the competition this year. Members were Stephen McCutcheon, Bailey Marshall, Keara Mollenauer, and Emma Rose.
Teams were given a craft project theme, identical boxes of craft supplies and a “secret ingredient”. The teams race the clock as they plan their project, organize their crafting supplies and create their craft masterpiece.
Each student received a certificate of participation. Members of the winning team each received a twenty-five dollar gift certificate for the store and the High School Art Dept. received a $100 gift certificate and the “Iron Crafter” trophy.
The craft designs are on display in the HS lobby during the Art Show April 18-29.
