Voice of Democracy - Jennifer Cranmer

Jennifer Cranmer placed sixth in the Voice of Democracy speech competition at the state level. Jenn created a speech using this year’s theme, My Vision For America. Jenn’s adventure began with winning first place at Hopewell High School. She then received first place in the District. Jenn represented our Pennsylvania region at the state level where she placed sixth overall. She was honored along with 30 other District winners at a voice of Democracy banquet in Gettysburg.

The local competition is sponsored by the Robert W. Young VFW Post 8805. Hopewell High School has been participating for over 20 years.

Voice of Democracy is a national audio essay competition, which is sponsored by the local Hopewell VFW. The competition is designed to foster patriotism, giving high school students the opportunity to voice their opinion and address their responsibility to their country. All audio essays were judged on delivery, originality and creativity.

Jenn will be honored at the Hopewell VFW Post Testimonial and Awards Banquet in the spring.
