Get Outside !!!!

Dear Parents/Guardians ,

This has been an exciting year and I wanted to take some time to inform you of some of the activities that we will be doing for the remainder of the school year.  April is G.O. (Get Outside) month.  Weather permitting we will be participating in outdoor activities.  I am going to try and teach students some traditional recess activities along with some nontraditional activities that students will be able to participate in outside at home or at a playground.  Playing outside is very important for building ligament strength, hand eye coordination and tracking skills.  It is recommended that all children get at lease 60 minutes of vigorous physical activity every day.  During these warmer months I encourage everyone to make being physically active outside a family goal.

Just as a reminder please send your children with tennis shoes/ sneakers with laces or Velcro on the P.E. day. Too many accidents, such as losing a shoe and sprained ankles, occur due to improper attire. Also make sure your child is wearing clothing that will allow them to participate in movement activities such as crawling, rolling, and other locomotor movements. If you would like to contact me my email address is [email protected]

Sincerely,

Will Enders
