There will be a German Club meeting Thursday, October 18th at 2:30. We will be voting on the German T-Shirt design. All T-shirts must be submitted to frau before the meeting.
Class of 2022
There will be a freshman class club meeting on Thursday, October 18 at 7:15 AM in the cafeteria. Any freshman interested in attending is welcome. Class officers are expected to attend.
Mock Trial will meet Wednesday, October 17th in Mrs. Korchnak's room at dismissal.
Class of 2020 Spirit Wear
The Class of 2020 Spirit Wear Sale will run from October 15-31. Orders are due to Ms. Dran or Mr. Witterman no later than October 31. Orders can be taken by any class officer or representative or by stopping in room 203 or room 311 by October 31. Delivery date will be approximately the last week of November. The specific date will be on the morning announcements and the high school web page. Cash or checks are due at the time the order is picked up. Checks are to be made out to: Hopewell Class of 2020.

United States Military Academies/Services Seminar
Congressman Keith Rothfus (PA-12) will be hosting an U.S. Military Academies Information Seminar on Thursday, October 18, 2018 form 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Franklin Regional Senior High School. The event will feature informational presentations by representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and ROTC. A Pumpkin Decorating Workshop is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25. If you are attending, please sign up in the Art Room by Oct. 17.
Anyone interested in bowling for the high school boys' or girls' team please sign up in the athletic office.
Ski Club will hold its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, October 18th in room 311 immediately after school. All are welcome and remember that it is never too late to join the ski club.
There will be a mock trial meeting on Wednesday, October 17th at dismissal in room 300. If you like to debate and/or think you may want to pursue a career within the legal field....come to this meeting! We are always looking for new members.
Waynesburg University CSI
Waynesburg University is holding their Annual Mock Crime Scene (CSI) Workshop on Saturday, November 10th from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM for any junior or senior who is interested in a career in crime scene investigations. Students will learn from crime scene professionals and field experts how to investigate a crime scene, properly collect and document evidence and interview witnesses. No experience is needed! This CSI program is free with lunch being provided! You will need to have your own transportation to Waynesburg. Space is limited so please contact admissions at

The Hopewell Viking Pride Marching Band is hosting an all you can eat pancake breakfast on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 8 AM - Noon at the Ohio United Presbyterian Church located at 1236 Longvue Avenue, Aliquippa PA. Admission is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 10.
CTC Students of the Month
Congratulations to September's students of the month at the Beaver County CTC! Trinity Vild in cosmetology, Dakota Inches - Greenhouse and Landscaping, and Gage Swartz in Machine Tool Technology.
Winter Sport Physicals
Any student wishing to participate in a winter sport must have a physical examination prior to the start of official practice which is Nov. 16th. Physicals will be done by the school physician on Monday, November 5th at 3:00 PM at the Jr. High Nurses Office for a fee of $10. Physical Forms are available in the Athletic Office and need to be filled out prior to the physical examination date.
Boys' Basketball Dates
The Fall Tournament will take place on Sept. 10,17, and 24 at 6:00 PM. The Scoop Night at Brusters will be on Sept 18 at 6:30 PM and the Cornhold Tournament will take place on Oct 20th at 4:00 PM at Fatima Hall.
