Trial Lawyer Association Scholarship
Senior Lia Kopar has won a $1000 Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association Scholarship.  This is an annual essay competition and only three winners are selected from the counties comprising the western district of Pennsylvania. 
Outstanding Young Citizen Award

Stephen McCutcheon to be Honored in Harrisburgh
A poster created by Stephen McCutcheon, grade 10 Art II student, is among the top entries in the 2013-2014 Alcohol Awareness poster Contest.  Stephen has been invited to attend a ceremony honoring his accomplishment in Harrisburg. 
Merrick Associates Student Art Award
Art work by seniors Jessi Pershin and Jordan Trombetta were chosen for exhibition at The Merrick Associates Student Art Award.  The award is given yearly to outstanding Senior art students from across Beaver County.   
Pennsylvania State Youth Week Camp
Are you interested in going into law enforcement?  If so, the Pennsylvania State Youth Week Camp might be the perfect fit for you.  The camp will run from June 8-14 at York College in York, PA. Read the full article for details on how to get involved. 
Deahn Smith Represents BCCTC in Hershey
Deahn Smith received third place in Networking Concepts at the regional leadership conference in  December and will now be competing at the state level in Hershey from April 6-9.  Read the full article for additional details. 
USA vs. Ireland - Caleb Parrish
Caleb Parrish, a Hopewell senior, has been selected as one of Pittsburgh's best to compete in tonight's Donnybrook Ambassador's Cup - USA vs. Ireland.  Read more to get more information and a link to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article.

National Art Honor Society

Hopewell High School Art Show
Take a stroll through the wonderful world of art on view in the High School Lobby.  This years Art Show will take place March 3rd to March 14th.  Everyone is welcome at the opening Reception on Tuesday, March 4th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Hopewell Musical: Beauty and the Beast
Hopewell High School is performing the musical, "Beauty and the Beast" on March 21st and 22nd at 7:30 pm as well as on the 23rd at 3:00 pm in the High School auditorium.  Ticket sales begin this week.  To order tickets call Robin at 724-777-6441. 
Hometown High Q
Congratulations to Hopewell's Hometown High Q Team, Laura Butts, Aaron Pfeifer, Christopher Satterfield, and Madeline Davidson for their wonderful performance this year.

2014 Congressional STEM Competition
Individual students or groups of students are invited to compete with other students nationwide in creating and exhibiting an original software application for mobile, tablet or computer devices.  Read the article to get additional information. 
PA Classic Gymnastics Championship
Hopewell placed 5th in the team bronze division at the PA Classic Team and Individual Gymnastics Championship this past Saturday.  Richelle McLaughlin who placed 9th on beam, and 11th in both the floor and all around in the bronze division. 
Bowling MAC Championship
Congratulations to the boys' bowling team who won the MAC championship this past Saturday and to the girls' bowling team who places 2nd.
