PMEA District 5 Honors Band
Congratulations to Samantha Yost and Allison Kindred for auditioning into PMEA District 5 Honors Band!  They will travel to Westminister College to represent Hopewell in early December.  Way to go!

Voice of Democracy - Jennifer Cranmer
Jennifer Cranmer was selected to represent Hopewell in this year's Voice of Democracy competition.  The voice of Democracy oral competition is a coordinated effort between the VFW Robert W. Young post 8805 and local high schools.  Take some time to listen to Jennifer's speech by following this link. 
Vote for the Mole Day Song Performance
Help the Science Department win a Smartboard and a class and a class set of Chromebooks.  Vote for the Mole Day Song Performance in the HMH Curious Classroom Contest.  Everyone can vote once per day until the end of November. 
Honors Chorus - Danny Watts
Danny Watts participated in Honors Chorus at Westminister College at the end of October.  He "won" the spot through a rigorous audition process.  He got 4th chair out of about 30 basses from schools all around our area.  He sang professional level music at the concert this on October 31. 
College Prep Courses - Sewickley Library
The Sewickley Public Library is offering two programs to help prepare students for the SAT and ACT.  Read the full article for complete details.

Donkey Basketball
The class of 2019 sponsored a Donkey Basketball fundraiser on October 21, 2015.  The event consisted of individuals riding the donkey while playing basketball.   Click Here to see some photos from the evening of the event.
Dr. Maslyk Awarded for Excellence in Journalism
Dr. Jacie L. Maslyk, Hopewell's assistant superintendent, was awarded the Frank S. Manchester Award for Excellence in Journalism at this years Pennsylvania Principals Association Conference... 
Successful Financial Aid Night
Hopewell's Counseling Department organized this year's Financial Aid Night to ensure parents and students receive the necessary information to apply for and receive financial aid for post secondary education.  This was one of many events in the 2015-2016 Parent/Student Education Series.

Westinghouse Science Honors Institute
Congratulations to Brandon Brahler, Dalton Pifer, and Garret Roberts for being accepted into the Westinghouse Science Honors Institute.  These students will be attending seminars and other events to gain insight into careers in engineering and science. 
Joei Ritmiller Qualifies for the Western Regional PIAA Golf Semi-finals
Joei Ritmiller shot a 95 and finished in 7th place at the WPIAL AA GIRLS INDIVIDUAL GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP . . .

Girls' Tennis Victory
Congratulations to the Girls' Tennis Team for their 2-3 victory over Central Valley.  Individual wins were from singles player Krista Kasunic and doubles players MJ Houston, Gianna Morelli, Jackie Carter & Emma Rose. 
Joei Ritmiller - WPIAL AA Golf
Sophomore Joei Ritmiller qualified yesterday for the WPIAL AA Girls' Individual Golf Championships on October 6th at Rolling Hills Country Club.  Joei shot an 18 hole score of 90 to qualify by two shots.  She finished in second place overall and as the Section 2AA individual champion.

2015 Homecoming Parade
Hopewell's Homecoming Parade will take place on October 1, 2015 at 6:30 PM.  The parade route will begin at the junior high and end at the high school.  It will travel down Laird Avenue, turn right onto Maratta Road, and then Left on Longvue Ave.  Read the entire article for complete details.

Keystone Exam Remediation
Scores for the 2015 Spring Keystone Exams will be mailed home in the near future.  Any students who has not earned a proficient or advanced score on the exams will be required to complete a remediation course.   
Student Parking Information
