2015 Homecoming Parade
Hopewell's Homecoming Parade will take place on October 1, 2015 at 6:30 PM.  The parade route will begin at the junior high and end at the high school.  It will travel down Laird Avenue, turn right onto Maratta Road, and then Left on Longvue Ave.  Read the entire article for complete details.

Hopewell Baseball Boosters 3rd Annual Golf Outing

Westinghouse Science Honors Institute
The Westinghouse Science Honors Institute is a free program for high school juniors from Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding communities who demonstrate a strong interest in science and engineering and who are of high scholastic standing.  
Keystone Exam Remediation
Scores for the 2015 Spring Keystone Exams will be mailed home in the near future.  Any students who has not earned a proficient or advanced score on the exams will be required to complete a remediation course.   
Student Parking Information

Congratulations to Olivia Rovnak for winning first place in the 5th annual "Let's Clear the Air Poster Challenge" sponsored by the Southwest Pennsylvania Air Quality Partnership (SPAQP) and the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC). 
May Students of the Month
Congratulations to our students of the month for May, freshman Miles Collins and senior Zeph Kraus.  Both students balance excellence in academics with extracurricular activities and are recognized for their leadership. 
Hopewell Baseball Playoffs
The Hopewell Baseball team's next playoff game was rescheduled for Tuesday, May 19th versus defending champion West Allegheny.  The game will be held at Burkett Field in Montour and start at 6:30.  Come out and support the Vikings 
Beaver County Police Memorial and Awards Program

Henry Mancini Awards
The Mancini Award Nominations were announced and Hopewell received three nominations.  Twenty-six high schools from Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence counties will be represented at the ceremony on May 30th at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center.  Read more to find out who are nominees were. 
Hopewell Baseball Team Advances in Playoffs
Congratulations to the Hopewell baseball team for advancing in the WPIAL Playoffs with a 3-1 victory over South Park.  The team's next game will be Monday versus West Allegheny at a time and place to be determined.  
Boys' Tennis Team Make Hopewell History
They did it!!!  The Boys' Tennis Team officially made history on Thursday be defeating Quaker Valley 4-1, and will now advance to the State Championship. Read the full article for complete details of this incredible accomplishment. 
On to the Semi-Finals
Congratulations to our Boys' Tennis Team for their 3-2 victory over the once undefeated Blackhawk!  Both singles players, Miles Collins and Alex Pfeifer, defeated their opponents in 2 sets, with doubles 2 MAC champs, Turner Wilson and Anthony Bove winning the 3rd set in a tie-breaker.   
Boys' Tennis Team Advances to Quarterfinals
Congratulations to the Boys' Tennis Team for their defeat of California 3-2 in the 1st round of WPIAL playoffs.  Today the boys advance to the quarterfinals and play Blackhawk.  Good luck boys. 
Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association
Senior Alex Barna has won a $1000 Western Pennsylvania Trail Lawyers Association Scholarship.  This is an annual essay competition and only three winners are selected from public and private high schools in the counties comprising the western district of Pennsylvania. 
Hopewell Varsity Baseball Team
Congratulations to the Hopewell Varsity baseball team for a win over New Castle's baseball team 1-0 on April 15th.  Junior, Tim Sabo, was the game winning RBI and senior, Christian Prioli had a complete game shutout. 
Boys' Tennis - MAC Champs
Congratulations to our Boy's Tennis new MAC champs Anthony Bove and Turner Wilson.  The boys defeated Beaver, Moon, and then ultimately Mars to place 1st.  Also congratulations to Eli Loncar and Miles Collins for advancing to the semi-finals.  The team is now 8-1. 
Pat Catan's "Iron Crafter"
Two teams of four art students competed on Saturday, April 11 in the 11th annual Pat Catan's "Iron Crafter".  Team #1 members were Rachel Falk, Joe Snarey, Margaret Ward and Nicole Webster.  Team #2 members were Stephen McCutcheon, Nicolette Peronis, Alexis Flynn & Emma Rose. 
Merrick Art Awards
Senior Art IV students Nicole Webster and Rachel Falk were selected to represent Hopewell HS in the Merrick Associates Student Art Awards. 
Egg Decorating Competition
Hopewell's Family and Consumer Science held an egg decorating contest this year and the winners were 1st - Erin Hewitt, 2nd - Krista Vinsik, and 3rd - Ashley Kennedy, Tara Davidson, and Haley Domitrovich.  Read more to see a picture of their eggs. 
Bryant Turk and Chelsea Sundy - Scholar Athletes
Bryant Turk and Chelsea Sundy were recognized by the Midwestern Athletic Conference for their accomplishments as scholar athletes at the 57th annual banquet on April 1, 2015. 
Greater Pittsburgh Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Visits Hopewell
Greater Pittsburgh Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine spent the day with Hopewell High School Physical Education students and let the them through a variety of fitness stations during their Physical Education classes. 
Scarab Club Members Meet With Hopewell Alumna in New York City
Hopewell High School Art students got to meet lead Rockette and Hopewell HS Alumna, Traci Reszytelo, during their tour of Radio City Music Hall in NYC last weekend.
