Hopewell Elementary Pick up and Drop off

Hopewell Area SD: Remote Instruction on Thursday, May 1, 2025

Due to ongoing storm restoration efforts in the community and at district schools, the Hopewell Area School District will operate all schools under a Flexible Instruction Day (FID) model with students learning remotely from home on Thursday, May 1, 2025. There will be no district transportation provided, and after-school and evening activities will take place as scheduled.

The district truly understands that some students may have varying needs associated with power outages or Internet loss, so please communicate needs with teachers and principals. They will be willing to assist as needed. With an in-service day and prom happening on Friday (May 2), students will next return to school on Monday, May 5. So, the extra day in remote learning will yield multiple days of recovery efforts to, hopefully, return all students to regular in-person schooling on Monday, May 5.

Hopewell Elementary Pick up and Drop off

Parent Pickups at Hopewell Elementary for 2024-25

Please see below

  • Every day pick-ups will go to the cafeteria until called for release. We hope that as this is communicated with teachers, we can get the kids out quickly.

  • If you are picking up your child, please go to this link to sign up as a car rider. https://forms.gle/Bk6NeE7Tjm2QCwTe6 Once completed, we will make signs for parents/guardians to post in their vehicles.

  • Parents are to remain IN THEIR VEHICLES at all times. Only those parents whose students are ‘walkers’ should walk up to the cafe door to pick up their children. ALL OTHERS ARE TO REMAIN IN THE VEHICLES. Parking must be in the school parking lot. Please do NOT park on the side of the road. Police will ticket cars parked illegally on the side of the road.

  • Access to the main driveway up to the doors is not permitted at any time. We must keep it clear in lieu of an emergency.

  • Early dismissals must occur prior to 3:15. Students who get picked up daily will NOT be dismissed prior to 3:25.

  • Parents will follow the 2 paths in the lower lot, and students will be brought to the lower lot. If there are NO buses, we will feed cars into the main drive coming up towards the main entrance of the school.

  • BUSES AND SCHOOL VANS WILL HAVE PRIORITY TO THE MAIN DRIVE.

  • Students in the pick-up line will be called in the order they arrive to keep the flow  of traffic moving as efficiently as possible.

  • Please be patient as we work out the kinks in the beginning and get into a groove.
