Director of Facilities and Grounds

Hopewell Area School District is seeking a Director of Facilities and Grounds who can establish and maintain preventative maintenance and safety programs through the district. This is a full-time, 12-month position. This position is responsible for:

*Management of building repairs, new construction projects, and facility upgrades.

*Operations for five district buildings.

*Supervision of maintenance, grounds, and custodial staff.

*Understanding and implementation of collective bargaining agreements.

*Developing and maintaining budgets.

*Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and District policies.

Qualifications include 5+ years of experience in facilities management, proven leadership and supervisory skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team. The Hopewell Area SD has immediate bus and van driver positions available. The district also offers free on-site training to obtain CDL credentials!

School Bus Drivers – Multiple Positions Available

Substitute School Bus Driver - $22.80/Hour

Full-Time Bus Drivers - $23.40/Hour

Full-Time Van Drivers - $20.42

Full-Time Bus Monitors - $19.42

Substitutes

Everyday Building Substitute Teachers

The Hopewell Area SD is searching for building-level substitute teachers who report daily to district school buildings for the remainder of the current school year. Candidates should have a valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate or have recently completed a qualifying certification program. Substitute Teachers

Substitute Custodians

Immediate need for substitute custodians. Please contact District Office for additional information. 724-375-6691 x3009. Starting wage is $13.00 per hour.

Cafeteria

Food Service Positions

The District is currently hiring for cafeteria positions. Interested Applicants should apply at the District's Central Office located at 2354 Brodhead Road (in front of the Jr. High School). Any questions, please contact the Food Service Director, Rhonda Fobes at (724) 375-6863.

The District is also currently hiring Substitute Food Service Workers. These positions are on-call positions used for filling in as needed in the cafeterias to cover employee call offs with most shifts being between 2-4 hours per day when needed. Applicants need to be available to work Monday thru Friday, pass state and federal clearances, and be easily reached by phone.

Paraprofessionals

The District currently has paraprofessional vacancies available. Compensation ranges are $18.20 - $19.00 per hour, depending on the position. Most positions will pay $18.76/hour in 2024-25. The application can be found online or by contacting Nancy Barber at 724-375-6691 x3009

Coaches

Varsity Head Football Coach

The Hopewell Area SD is seeking candidates for a high school varsity head football coach. The high school coach will oversee school-sponsored football teams in Grades 7-12, which is comprised of separate middle school (GR 7-8) and high school/ junior varsity teams (GR 9-12).
