Hopewell athletic programs are set to begin

Please click on the link below with the Reintegration to Sports Plan. This plan provides details for coaches and athletes to return to sports this year.  Our priority is to keep athletes and coaches safe while providing our athletes time with coaches and teammates to prepare for their next season. Outdoor conditioning may begin on June 29, 2020 and indoor conditioning may being on July 6, 2020.

Winter Sport Spectator Info

Spectators
Sports related activities at the Pre-K to 12 level are limited to student athletes, coaches, officials, cheer, band, staff and some spectators depending on sport.  All individuals must comply with face covering orders and social distancing guidelines. A limited number of home spectators and No visiting spectators will be permitted to attend home competitions. See below. 


Basketball - Boys' and Girls' Varsity and MS Boys
   Each athlete will be given 2 passes for home games.

Cheerleading
Each cheerleader will be given 2 passes for home games.

Varsity and Middle School Wrestling
Each athlete will be given 2 passes for home matches.

Swimming, Gymnastics & Bowling
     No Spectators
      









2021 Spring Physicals

Any student wishing to participate in a 2021 spring sport for Hopewell Area School District must have a physical examination prior to the start of official practice which is March 8, 2021 with the exception of the following sports and their start dates:  February 15th middle school girls' volleyball, March 22nd middle school baseball and swimming and March 29th middle school girls' softball.   


WE WILL NOT BE DOING PHYSICALS AT THE SCHOOL AS WE HAVE DONE IN THE PAST.   Complete instructions and the PIAA Physical Form are available under “ATHLETIC PHYSICALS” on the left side of this page.  All exams cannot be dated prior to June 1, 2020.  Sections 1-5 and 10 need to be filled out by a parent or guardian and Section 6 needs to be completed by the physician. 


***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***

IF YOU ALREADY HAD A PHYSICAL FOR A FALL or WINTER 2020 SPORT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GET ANOTHER PHYSICAL. You and your parent or guardian only need to complete Sections 7 and 10. These Sections are also available under "ATHLETIC PHYSICALS" on the left side of this page.
