As you will see from the color-coded map, the BLUE arrows represent the normal traffic pattern that families have

followed in previous years when picking up their child(ren) at the end of the day. We will continue to follow this pattern

until the last car reaches the entrance where the buses enter.

Once the last car positions itself just before the bus entrance, the next vehicle will begin to follow the RED arrows, which

is our second traffic pattern. As the rest of the vehicles begin to follow the RED arrows, these vehicles will position

themselves on school property rather than blocking School Road. This will result in less congestion, especially for the

families who live along that stretch.

The first cars to arrive at student pick-up will position themselves accordingly and follow the BLUE arrow traffic pattern.

Once the last vehicle is in place before the bus entrance, new vehicles that arrive will be directed to turn onto school

property and begin to follow the RED arrow pattern. These vehicles will inch forward towards the main entrance of the

school. However, vehicles that end up following the RED arrow traffic pattern, WILL NOT advance until all vehicles

following the BLUE arrow traffic pattern have picked up their child(ren).

We will begin calling students who are being picked up by a parent or guardian at 3:25pm. Ensuring you’re here and in

line at this time is greatly appreciated! Students who are being picked up will be called in the order they arrive to keep the

flow of traffic moving as efficiently as possible. PLEASE DO NOT block the entrance and prevent our parents/guardians

from being able to turn into the parking lot to get their child(ren) for an early dismissal! Thank you for your attention to this

matter!

- Again, families who arrive first will follow the BLUE arrow traffic pattern until they run out of space (DO NOT

  BLOCK ENTRANCES). Once all the space has been taken up, vehicles will then proceed to follow the RED arrow

  traffic pattern.

- For your safety, and the safety of our students, DO NOT get out of your car to buckle your child(ren) in their seat. If your   child needs help getting buckled, please pull forward to the end of the parking lot so that the cars behind you can go around     while you are safely securing your child in their seat.  

-  Please have your child(ren) enter your vehicle on the passenger side of the car you're driving as well as the

   placement of any car seat. This ensures their safety and reinforces safe practices for all!

-  Please continue to place your child’s sign in your window. Every family was provided two of them. Each time your

   child is picked up, you’re expected to have this sign present. For anyone picking up additional students to help a

   neighbor etc., they will need to fill out the Google Form (found on Classroom Dojo, Indy PTA Facebook Page, and

   the School Website) by 2pm every day.

-  Buses WILL NOT be called until all parent pickups are accomplished for the safety of all students.
