This involves an introduction to Chemistry :  Atoms, Element, Compounds, Mixtures, States of Matter, Physical Properties, Chemical Properties, Physical and Chemical Changes, The Periodic Table, Chemical Bonds, Chemical Reactions, Substances, Mixtures and Solubility.

 

This also involves an introduction to Physics :  Motion, Acceleration, Momentum, Newton's Laws of Motion, Forces and Fluids, Work, Power, Simple Machines and Energy.  This portion of the year involves several mathematical skills.  The student would be best served to possess their own calculator and utilize it daily.
