I am a Hopewell Area School District graduate that grew up in Raccoon Township. I graduated from Geneva College with a B.S. in Mathematics Education. I have been teaching mathematics and science at Hopewell Memorial Junior High School since 2001.

Course Grades

The grade a student earns in class is based on a total point system. Each homework, project, report, quiz and exam is assigned points based on level of difficulty.

Quizzes, exams and homework assignments will be posted on the white boards in my room as well as on this website.

Classroom Rules and Expectations

Classroom Management 2018-2019

The 5 "P"s

Students must be Prompt.
Students must be Prepared.
Students must be Polite.
Students must be Productive.
Students must be Proactive.

It is the responsibility of the student to make up any missed work. If the student is in school and will be missing class due to early dismissal or some other activity, or arrives to school late, the student is required to get any homework assignment, handout and/or warm up question prior to leaving that day.

If the student is absent the day an assignment is due, the student is required to turn in the assignment the day the student returns.

If the student is absent the day an assignment is given, it is the responsibility of the student to see me. We will make arrangements for the student to make up the assignment and it must be turned in on the date specified by me.
